saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who has been killed to receive the power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing!” Revelation 5:12 WEB
They did not normally attend that church, but one evening they went to a special program there. At one point in the ceremony, a young lady in her teens stood up on the stage. The church hall fell silent to hear her sing. It was nearing Christmas time, and the song the girl sang was “Oh, Holy Night.” Her voice and her words of praise seemed to float over the audience. She put so much of her heart-felt love for Jesus into her song that the whole congregation was moved to the core. Even people who did not know Christ as the child did were wishing they had the voice to sing Him such praise. Have we experienced what joy can be found in praising the Son of God?
Mankind has many lofty sensations that we may enjoy in this life. But most of them are directed purely in pleasing one´s self. Just as giving is often more pleasing than receiving, praising a worthy God for His love for us can be an experience that lifts us higher than anything else. We all know how good it makes us feel when someone we love is warmed by our praise. Well, this sensation is magnified when the One we praise is worthy of all praise and glory. God has done much to care for us and restore us to Him. Shall we let our praise go up and come to know what wonderful experience it is to adore our worthy King and loving Savior today?
Please accept our feeble attempt to praise You! Thank You for Your love for us, Your sacrifice, and Your mercy! Give us sweet words to sing of You and Your love, we pray!
