The True Christian

There was a time when people knew better than to put their faith only in things that they can prove physically or mentally. People back then were more in tune with the inner visitations of intelligence that work on levels we usually cannot reach. Sunsets moved them and storms reminded them of their limitations. When a gentle breeze lifted and carried a butterfly or a leaf, their hearts were warmed because the mysterious power and presence of God were moving around them. God spoke of His will and care for them and they did not go running skeptically to the wisdom of the experts to explain or verify. When God spoke, it came with trust in His character. Along with that simple faith, came the realization that He was near. Knowing does not come by demanding proof. Rather, belief is attained through gratefully letting our hope soar while the heart enjoys the wonders and the nearness of God!
