One would think that it is not harmful to focus on our dreams, our desires, or the things our hearts go out to. But whenever we are the focal point, we are keeping God from His rightful place in our hearts. It is impossible to focus on the Lord while we are focusing on ourselves. When looking to please ourselves we shift our attention from Christ to us. If we could keep the focus on our Savior, if we could live to please Him no matter what it cost us, we would have the relationship with Him that He has been wanting from us. Let us pray that we resist our heart´s tendency towards self, make God the central focus, and walk intimately with Him today.
