God is the Author and Finisher of our faith. He can move mountains, He can work miracles. He can bring us away from the distant places where our hearts have roamed and lead us into an intimate walk with Him. But we will have to work along with the Spirit. We will have to do something on our part to eliminate distance too. If we tolerate that distance between us and our Lord to grow or even remain, God will not magically remove it for us. Pray for hunger. Pray for acute pain to afflict us every time we are made aware that there is ground to be gained with the Lord. Then let us pray for the Lord´s help in eliminating any distance so that we grow closer each day!
