We may love the holidays for all the joys it brings, but there is one joy that outshines them all. It is wonderful to think of loved ones, presents, getting together, and celebrations. However, the magical sensation that should be seen overwhelming nearly everyone is the thought of God with us. A child was born that brought hope to mankind. God moved in the most peculiar way and blessed us all with His grace and love. The infectious Christmas spirit although often mistaken for lesser pleasures is surely a natural reaction that comes to the human soul when it realizes the nearness and goodness of God. He turns His attention towards His children and for a season, they can feel that warmth. Pray that we can embrace the joy and hold our Lord close even when we return to our routines. Pray for the nearness of God to be felt all year round!
