Why is it that sometimes we go through times that feel like we are going through the dark valleys of death? There are many times when God´s true children will feel like the smile of God is hidden from them and where they are in life is lonely, painful, and frightening. It is important to see through these tough times that our Savior is near. He is surely much nearer than we feel like He is. Most likely, He has allowed us to experience whatever it is that we are so that through our struggle, our faith can be perfected. Hope can be secured in Him. Our God will be our treasure and the only way to know that is to have all our other treasures taken from us. Let us not kid ourselves! God knows what He is doing and although we get distracted and look often at our earthly lives, God stays focused on having us with Him in the eternal heavenly life that He has promised to those who persevere. Pray that we make our goal to walk with Him now with every intention of living with Him forever!
