It may have started with an apple in the garden, but nowadays we have plenty of fruit to distract us and lead us away from God. We are deceived each day and all through those days. Something creeps in and tells us that we can look with hungry eyes, at something that is not our Lord. The moment the apple of our eye is not our Savior, then we stand to lose what we have with Him. We should know the story well enough by now. However, the tricks get trickier and they are designed to do just that. Even those, and especially those, who have come to the Lord to be His forever will have to face these deceptions. We come to God to be His, to be with Him, and to walk with Him constantly from now on. The only way that we can be sure to get where we want to with the Divine, is to grow the ties between us. Pray for a closer walk. Pray for a relationship so close that we will be saved from even ourselves and remain with Him always!
