When we realize how close He is and what it is like to face our limitless God, our hearts will instantly feel too small to take it all in. A true encounter with the Divine will humble us. It will frighten us. It will leave us undone and in real need of our Savior. Yet whatever we lack in ourselves and our nature, we find in our new treasure. When we find One so infinitely better to behold than ourselves, we can gratefully shift our focus from our puny, unworthy selves, to Him. He will loom into our hearts and eclipse our desires and distractions. Moments spent directly engaging with the Almighty can burn out the impurities from our lives and our frivolous natures. So let us seek Christ with a passion. Let us settle for nothing less than the Spirit of God to wash over us, into us, and carry us away. Let us get where God is and let His presence change the way we see everything, forever!
