We mean well enough when we pray for God to be with us everywhere we go, but it doesn´t mean that we take Him along with us when we do. It is great that we say it. It is even better that we know that we need it. However, we need to start seeing that our prayer is not the last word. It is only where we begin. Those few short words can place us before the throne. It may grab the Lord´s attention and let Him know that we are looking to Him. Still, it is what we work out together with Him in the moments, minutes, hours, and days that follow, that will form the walk we have with Him.
