Some believers feel that there is no real reason to do any more repenting. We might find ourselves tempted to feel that way too. However, all that that sentiment shows, is that there is not enough exposure between them and our all-righteous God. Distance and barriers keep the proud and self-confident believer from experiencing God in person. If, however, we seek to break down the barriers and remove any distance that has crept into our hearts, then enlightenment will follow. When we stand exposed before the All-Righteous God, we will see how insufficient we are. No mortal can approach the throne of God on our own merit. We must humble ourselves, seek our Savior, and learn that He is the only One that can make us worthy. Yet when we do, the Lord will know we are ready and will gladly reveal Himself to us!

Therefore produce fruits worthy of repentance, and don’t begin to say among yourselves, ‘We have Abraham for our father;’ for I tell you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones!  Luke 3:8
