You can find this peculiar sort of person sitting in various pews around the world. This strange kind might not be the loud or opinionated ones that rally or stir up the rest. What makes this worshipper strange is that there is a fire burning within their soul. They squirm a little in their chairs. They do not check their clocks. They are not tuned to their stomachs and secretly savoring the meal that they will be shooting off to feast on when the meeting is over. These are the children of the burning heart. Something deep within them yearns for the Lord. They need to experience Him for themselves. Their hearts need to engage with Him. They seek to know Christ personally. These are the kind of Christians who will not be satisfied by knowing His name in creed alone. These seekers of truth ache with hearts exposed and hope for nothing short of the Almighty to pour into them. This they do, knowing full well that we are insufficient vessels to digest eternity, all-righteousness, or even a pinch of our infinite God. Yet they long for nothing less!
