We run after many different things. We do it often, and often we go far. We are creatures of desire. We want something, and we go after it. We want to go somewhere, and we fight the elements to get there. We share this trait of pursuing our desires. What may differ are the things after which we chase. Where we run to when we can, will be as different as the individuals who do the chasing. Some choose money, others fame. Some like excitement, and others comfort and ease. We run after different sorts of things at different times, depending on where our hearts lean. And, we can even yearn after God.

Whether God exists is not the issue. Those who search for Him find Him and those who prefer to doubt do not. Those who find Him testify that He surpasses our wildest dreams. Mortals find no words to describe entering His presence. The brightness of His glory seizes the soul. The thrill threatens to stop our hearts when confronted with infinity. If we have fallen before the throne, we know. If not, we could well spend the rest of our lives striving for nothing less!

You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forever more.  Psalm 16:11
