There is a Prize. Not everyone talks about it. Some talk up the side benefits but fall far short of the real Treasure. If we listen to the crowd, we could get the wrong impression. We can think that coming to Christ is nothing short of writing our name on a membership list. We can fill our heads and our time with cleaning up our act. Some may think that becoming a Christian only gains new standards. We can upgrade our friends. Another one we love is signing up for the free mansion. And then there are those who want to live forever. But why sell ourselves short with tiny perks?
The Prize that outshines all others offers Himself only to those who care. He comes in one great package deal. It is free. Yet at the same time, it costs more than most are willing to give. We love to win, gain, and get. But we can only have it all if we follow the One who will get us there. He gave it all. We must do the same. Give all our dreams and aspirations, and we can receive the Prize that is all prizes in One. If we choose anything short of seeing the face of God, there is no telling what we will miss!
As for me, I shall see your face in righteousness. I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with seeing your form.” Psalm 17:15 (WEB)
