And He Heard

In my distress I called on Yahweh, and cried to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry before him came into his ears. Psalm 18:6

Terror strikes with a vengeance. Darkness overcomes us and drags us lower than we have been before. The torcher takes its toll. How will we ever stand all we must endure?

We experience the strain of despair often. At times our woes pile on each other to cloud out the sun. Most times, we carry on struggling. Sometimes we cry out.

If we cry to God, there is hope. Through the debris, smoke, and ashes, we may see the Light. God forever saves those who look to Him. He always has. He always will. If hoarding our treasures means so much to us, we may get angry at the One who gave them to us. If our eyes are on our idols, we may not enjoy seeing them go. But if we cry to our God, He hears. He hears because He is our God. We are His people. Eternity hangs in this balance, and all bliss is in this bond.

Reach for the Lord. He goes further than we know for us. Establish the walk with Him. He listens. He waits. He looks for hearts like ours who cry only to Him!
