The Meditations Of My Heart

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14

Christianity today walks down a similar road as the religions of old. Where we once directed the gaze of our souls to Power and wonder above, we hone in on ourselves. We lose the essence of worship. We pray, sing, and listen, but only to our liking. Huddling closer to the herd, we convince ourselves we are walking in the right direction. But we are only fooling ourselves. We must do something soon, or we will lose all hope forever!

Hope hides just beyond our oversized egos. Direction is there, but we must get ourselves out of our way to find it. These hearts are priceless commodities but only find worth when invested. Christ is the area of our soul that has a future. The Savior is where we should dwell. When we turn, we make this change. No turn is a real turn unless we shift our attention away from us and onto Him.

Let our meditation find life in searching the riches of knowing God. Let us quicken and rise as we grow closer to Him. Understanding will surprise us. The presence of God will feed us. Let us learn the lost art of meditating our hearts on the Lord, and Christianity will finally be safe. We will have our Redeemer again!
