The knock can come at our door. Someone could approach us at work. There are a million ways that people may try to share their religion with us. And there are just as many ways that we can receive their message.
At times, these encounters can be awkward. It may be clear that the zealous worker is on a mission. But sadly, the direction they have chosen to take us might not include much of Him.
Our Father in Heaven does call us to share. But what He has for us to give is something of great value. We are to bring awareness of Him to those who have had the joy of meeting Him yet. He wants us to share how near He is and how much He loves us all. Whatever our message looks like, it should bring hearts closer to God. We should have more contact with Him than before.
Those who belong to God are a race apart. They are souls that receive the tiniest seeds of hope. Yet those seeds find good soil. They grow into a driving force within us. They send hearts on a mission to find and know our Savior. The Christian witness stems from this shift to the focus of our hearts. We search for Him out of our dire need to be where He is. We yearn for Him because He is all that is good. And, because He fills us with His presence.
So, the natural desire to witness will come to those who receive an awareness of the Divine. But let our witness reveal the wonderous effect God´s presence is making in our lives. Let others see that our hearts have come in contact with God. Now we walk each step with Him.
