Go Tell Of New Life

go-tell-of-new-life

“Go, stand in the temple courts,” he said, “and tell the people the full message of this new life.”  Acts 5:20 (NIV

The angel opens the door to their prison and gives them this command.  This messenger from above tells them to share the message of new life.  There are others who are trapped too.  There are many who cannot escape the bars their own lives have placed around them.  They are imprisoned by the devil, their short-comings, and their own short-sightedness.  There´s is a world without hope.  Someone should offer them a new life.  Can we hear our name amongst those called?  Are we beckoned now?

In our world today many have heard of Christianity.  But how many people out there know about a life free from the worries of this world?  Many people are preaching about reforming lives, herding into a church, and selling preferred viewpoints of the Bible.  But who out there is bringing people into an awareness of God in us today?  Who is actually showing us how to get into the Presence of the Divine?  How many servants are risking life and limb to share with others a relationship with the Lord that changes us not only in external actions but from the deepest part of the soul?  Could the Lord be sending us now?  Does He want us to share the full message of a new life IN and WITH Him?

Dear Lord,

Draw us near and speak to us today.  Is there something of Your love and a new life together with You that You would have us share to others?  If so, please give us that message of You and strength directly from You to deliver it we pray!

Amen
