He led them out of Egypt and did wonders and miraculous signs in Egypt, at the Red Sea and for forty years in the desert. Acts 7:36 (NIV)
Seas part. Water flows out of rock. Food comes from nowhere. Birds, snakes, Fire in clouds, all sorts of amazing things happen when God shows up. The life of this man Moses is one marked by the hand of God. When God sends him miraculous signs follow. This is the legacy of a great man. Great he is, but not alone. His life is accompanied by signs that show God is here! God is at work. Is this our story too? Are we seeing miraculous signs of the Lord at work in us? Are we even expecting them?
We might not want to compare ourselves with one of the most outstanding characters of all history. But if we would like to call ourselves Christian, should we also consider what is going on in the larger picture of our Lord´s great plan? Should we not see and realize that to walk with God means to expect to see His hand at work. There should be thousands of ways in which He helps us, guides us, and works miraculously in and around us. If not, could there be some ground to be gained with Him today? Might we want to step closer to the Son of God so that the power of the Almighty can be activated? Could we stand to see and be rewarded with miraculous signs and wonders today?
Unleash Your mighty hand upon us! We want to see You at work! Come work in us! Bless us by witnessing miraculous signs and wonders in our lives and around us now we pray!
