Christ For Us

Jude 1:25 Christ for Us

to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.  Jude 1:25 NIV

“Jesus loves me, this I know.” The children belted out the song that they knew well. They listened to stories and the lesson study. Then, when the service was over, they all ran outside together to play in God´s great outdoors. The pages of time turned and now those children have children of their own. Not all of their children have had the experience of hearing the stories and singing the songs. Not all of those young souls know that they have a Friend in Heaven with a heart full of love for them. They may never know what it is like to have the Son of God as a dear and trusted friend. Wouldn´t it be nice if every child everywhere had the surety in our crazy world, that there were great and loving Powers above just dying to take care of us all?

The world scoffs at the man of faith. Our modern society doubts in powers and realms that they cannot see with the naked eye. They are skeptical and violently attack our faith in the unseen God because they prefer to lift up man. But deep inside of all of us, there is an empty space that cries out to be filled. It drives men and women into all kinds of insanity because science and philosophy cannot fill it. It is a place in our heart for a special bond with our Lord. We were designed to be with God and to have Him in us. Jesus Christ came to be the channel through which our inner lives can be filled. It takes a humble heart to recognize the emptiness. But if we try, we can turn to Christ. He will fill us all!

Dear Lord,

Be with us as we turn to You. Fill us, guide us, and show our hearts that there is room in them for more of You, we pray!

Amen
