Behold the Lion

Revelation 5:5 Behold the Lion

One of the elders said to me, “Don’t weep. Behold, the Lion who is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome; he who opens the book and its seven seals.”  Revelation 5:5

Visitors from another country came to the USA to see some friends. One of these had a peculiar job in Sacramento CA. He was working for the NBA team there. The two girls were not that interest in basketball, or for going to a game. But the young man got seats for them so they agreed to go. The girls were surprised at how exciting being at a game actually was. But then, something even more special happened. Their friend that had given them the tickets, showed up at their seats. But it was not him they saw, it was Slamson the Lion, his character. He was dressed as the mascot for that NBA team. He was entertaining the whole crowd of nearly 10,000 people! Have we beheld the Lion of Judah?

There are many exciting experiences that we can have on this earth. We may feel privileged and pleased with them. But they all pale before the thought of meeting the One heralded throughout the ages! Nothing can compare to the thrill of meeting the conquering King of all creation! We do not have to stop short with our earthly experiences. We do not have to cry without the hope of ever meeting God. There is One on High who is ready and waiting for us to encounter Him. He is worthy to break the seal that keeps those from not knowing. Christ is Lord! He has overcome! We can come to know Him in thrilling discoveries each day! Are we ready to witness the greatest display available to mankind?

Dear Lord,

Let us have the exciting experience of coming to know our Savior and King! Let us come before You now and to seek Your overwhelming presence for the rest of our days, we pray!

Amen
