for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne shepherds them, and leads them to springs of waters of life. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Revelation 7:17
The mother was tired, so very tired. Her little toddler would just not sleep. It took forever to get him to bed at night and when she did his eyes would pop open again before she could leave the room. If she did make it to the living room to sit down on the sofa, the tiny boy´s cries would call her back again within minutes. All through the night, the child would need the reassurance that his parents were there. They tried the various methods of letting their baby cry for the required lengths of time. But, none of them seemed to work at all. So, the lady spent a few years balancing her own need for rest with the tender care of her needy child. Do we realize how much God does for us in His great love?
Mothers and fathers the world over make their sacrifices to care for their little ones. But, we cannot imagine the depth of our Father´s love, nor how far He has gone to show it to us. He sent us His son to demonstrate the extent of sacrifice He makes for each of us. At this very moment, Father and Son are listening intently for our cries. They will not sleep nor slack in their care for us. Our tears do not convince God that He needs to be there for us, they just let us know that we need Him. The Lord will dry our every tear. Our Savior will faithfully lead us to safe pastures. Pray that when we cry out that it is not just self-pity, but that it brings us into the arms of our caring Lord!
Dear Lord,
Thank You for loving us and always being there for us. Show us our need for You and teach us to trust in Your love and care, we pray!
Amen
