If the world seems to be against us and we feel the weight of it, there is a remedy and a cure. We can actually turn our attention off of the bad and throw it full onto Jesus. This is when a miracle occurs. As we focus on Chris, our world fades out of focus. But this is not the miracle. The real miracles occur when, because we are looking to God, He begins to move. When God moves, He is capable of anything. He first brings a change into our hearts. That alone is a miracle. We become less selfish and less self-regarding. The next miracle is that then He is able to start showing us that our real happiness does not come from those things in this life that we had our hearts on. Instead, we find our joy in Him. When these miracles take place, then the Lord personally sees to it to adjust the circumstances around us regardless of whether or not we perceive them to be possible. Miracles happen! The more we look to God, the more miracles we will see! Let´s turn to Him now!
There ought to be in every Christian a deep, settled fullness of the joy of Christ that no circumstance of life can dispel. Henry T. Blackaby and Richard Blackaby (Experiencing God Day By Day)
