Where Hope is Found

Where Hope is Found

In tough times our greatest need is not for the removal of our strife. We can easily get caught up in them and think that they are the cause of our pain. But the real cause of all that ails the human race right now is that we are distanced from our God. It is not a new teaching or concept but rather a provable fact that the person who walks close to God does not need to be affected by whatever danger confronts them. Peter walked over dark troubled waters only by fixing His eyes on his Savior. Daniel slept in the den of ferocious lions without the need to fear because His heart was with God´s. The list is long of people the world over who were sustained, strengthened and grew closer to the Lord through tough situations. So, before we look at our current strife and begin to feel sorry for ourselves, why don´t we take the opportunity to snuggle in closer to Christ and let Him decide the outcome?

What man actually needs is not a tensionless state but rather the striving and struggling for some goal worthy of him. What he needs is not the discharge of tension at any cost, but the call of a potential meaning waiting to be fulfilled by him.  Viktor Frankl
