The rest of mankind, who were not killed with these plagues, didn’t repent of the works of their hands, that they wouldn’t worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood; which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk. Revelation 9:20 WEB
“If you don´t say sorry to your brother, then you are going to your room!” A mother said as she was trying to keep the peace between her children. But he was too worked up to back down and the only way to settle the fight was to split them up. Sadly, their differences were not resolved and the next day they were at each other again. More privileges were lost because the kids had not learned their lesson the day before. Is there any chance that we may not be learning from something that the Lord has tried to teach us?
Right now, disaster is striking the world over, people are dying or suffering, yet somehow we do not want to learn. Prophet and Scripture have warned us that God´s plans for this world are wrapping up and we should be seeking the Lord with our whole heart. Each one of us has the opportunity to stop what we are doing and look up. We could all repent of walking through our lives as if there is no God and no tomorrow. How sad it is to think that when all is said and done, some people will have chosen to cling to their possessions over knowing a living God that cares for them. It is even sadder to think that it could be us that failed to put enough importance on where we stand with the Almighty. Could we pray that today we take the time to turn to Him?
Take away our confidence in our good intentions and let us see the importance of coming to You. Let us repent now for not walking with You and learn to seek You, we pray!
