In a small European town in the hills, a family went to visit a castle. It was open for tourists and a guide gave them a tour. The castle had a sort of a hall near the entrance where there was a giant fireplace. It had a secret. Way back in time when the castle was inhabited by royalty, those who came to visit were allowed to warm themselves by the fire. Inside of the great chimney though, there was a secret stairway where a person could sneak down and listen in on any conversation. If the guests were planning an attack on the castle or against the king, their plot could be discovered without them ever being aware. Do we know that dark powers are preparing to make war against God?

Unless we do something these days we may never realize that devious plans are being made against our Lord and King. Evil powers do not want God to have anyone to be with Him in His Kingdom. They will do anything to stand in the way of letting us together with God. So, in one last devious plan, the beast, the evil in this world, and the soldiers that work towards their dark cause, all prepare to make their war. However, if we are listening and know what is coming, then we can remain loyal to the King. No plan, no matter how low or deadly, need ever catch us off guard. Let us start getting our hearts ready and growing closer to our Lord today. Let us make sure that the King of Kings will have us in His Kingdom and we can be with Him forever!

Help us to draw near You and seek Your presence while we prepare for Your Kingdom to be established, we pray!
