With No Reservation

If anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.  Revelation 20:15  WEB

Visitors to the USA arrived in San Diego. They were traveling by car and found a hotel to stay in. It was not in the center but it was close enough to see the city and go back to the hotel at night. The second night, however, they thought maybe they could find something closer to town. So they checked out. The man at reception tried talking them out of it. He said he couldn´t guarantee they would find another room later because there was a big convention on and a baseball game. Sure enough, when the ball game was over the tourists started looking for a room. Every place they tried was fully booked. They had to drive further out of town. But at every inn they found, some other people were in the same predicament. There were no rooms available anywhere! When all is said and done, will we have a room reserved for us?

The Bible speaks of a time when all mankind will give account for the choices they have made in life. Some will have their names written in God´s Book of Life. Others will not. They are the ones who chose not to have anything to do with God. Either they chose to reduce God and our need for Him, or they rejected Him completely. The ultimate fate of these rebels of faith does not look good. We may not like to think about it, but we are either on one side or the other. We are either open to learning of God and His plans for us or, we are choosing to belittle Him. God bless the ones who will still give Him a chance today! When we hear that He has a room for us, let´s take Him up on His offer and choose to make knowing the Lord our goal!

Dear Lord,

Although many will not humble themselves, let us come unto You. Let us come to know You more each day, we pray!
