There was once a family that moved to a new country to live. For a time it looked as if God wanted them to be there. But then, when their first child was born and the mother was at home with him, the unexpected happened. The father lost his job. They talked about moving back closer to family, but there was so much that would need to be done. Cars needed to be sold, the house, and all their thing. In no time though, their decision became more than clear. The normally troublesome and time-consuming considerations just fell into place. Only weeks later the young family was on the flight back. Do we know what it can mean to have God with us?

Almost everyone has had the experience of working towards something and the pieces just did not seem to fall together. No matter how much effort or desire we put into it, our dreams just don´t seem to come to us easily. But then, when God sees that the time is right, unforeseen and unexpected pieces can miraculously fall into place. It is incredible to watch when one is blessed with the opportunity to see God´s hand in motion. This is what He has promised to the ones who will put their trust in Him. There is coming a day when He will make His home with the children who look forward to being with Him. He will be our God. He will be able to take care of us as He has always wanted. Let´s look forward to the day when we can be together with Him always!

Dear Lord,

Be our God and let us be the ones whose hope is in You. Set our hearts on being truly Yours forever, we pray!
