Taking Words Away

If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, may God take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.  Revelation 22:19  WEB

A small child in a European country was singing a song that was at the top of the charts. It was a song from a currently popular singer from the U.S. The little girl did not understand the words she was singing but could reproduce them fairly well. Her English teacher understood the words though, and what the child was singing had not been edited for bad language. All her friends at school and in the country where she lived knew the lyrics too and sang the swear words without even imagining their foul meanings. In other countries, a cosher radio edit would have taken the bad words out, but in this case, it was up to the teacher to try to educate her innocent students.

The bad words the children were learning should have been taken away but it is completely different from the words of prophecy. God and His warnings are often downplayed or ignored. But this does not mean that we should. Whether we realize it or not, we are dealing with pretty important stuff! God is trying to convey His intentions to us and to show us the crucial importance today holds. Our future is in the balance. We should pay careful attention. We will not want to be guilty of leading astray even one innocent child. Let us pray that we are never guilty of taking away God´s words or their importance.

Dear Lord,

Impress upon us the importance of this moment in which we live. Let us realize that Your plan is unfolding and we are living in a crucial moment. Help us not to remove any importance prophecy has given us and to rather encourage others You may want to save, we pray!

Amen
