Always Need Our Savior

7. Our soul has escaped like a bird out of the fowler’s snare. The snare is broken, and we have escaped. 8. Our help is in Yahweh’s name, who made heaven and earth. Psalm 124:7-8

There is a little lie that we may tolerate even if we consider ourselves good Christians. It is the dangerous thought that we somehow do not need Christ with us in all that we do. The danger is not in our theory or our doctrine. It is usually in our day-to-day engagement with our surroundings. We focus our attention on this emergency or on that goal until our days and nights are so full that we have forgotten to be with our Lord the whole time. This problem is not here by accident. A mighty unseen force would do anything to keep us from connecting with our Savior and walking through our days with Him. So, whether we are at the top of the religious scene or in the gutter somewhere, we all need Christ with us now. We need Him. Our lives depend on it. Pray that we realize how much we need our Savior and go to any lengths to make sure we are walking closely with Him all the time!
