1. If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God. 2. Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth. 3. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4. When Christ, our life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory. Colossians 3:1-4
Troubles will come to us all. It is a fact of life that there will be struggles. What we might not always consider, is that even those who have given their hearts to God will have their fair share of pain. People turn to endless distractions to try to ease their suffering. However, there is only one place where anyone can find true peace. That special Haven is in the presence of the Divine. Our loving Father gave us a Savior. We can go to Him. There we find encouragement that goes beyond our troubles, our plans, and infinity. Christ has been given authority in all things, so if our troubles seem too much for us, we should take it all to Him. There with the Lord is the only place safe from the enemy who would deceive us and discourage us at all costs. With Christ, we find peace, security, strength, guidance, direction, closeness with the One who loves us, and most of all, hope. It is worth any price we must pay to press on into the presence of the Lord because there is nowhere better to be!
