The days when people strived to become upstanding have nearly all disappeared. Times are changing. People no longer want to hear that they are accountable to anyone or anything. We don´t like discipline anymore. We cannot trust our leaders. Those in charge mostly act only for their own interests. We just tolerate it. We tolerate almost anything these days. However, there is a slight chance that the hearts of some have not completely succumbed to the tragedy of our days.
Christ encourages us to cling to hope. The cancerous sinful nature that lives in our veins does not have to get the better of us. We have a Savior. Those who turn to God can still be saved, even from ourselves. If we draw near, if we seek Him diligently enough, we can find our remedy. The healing nature of the Holy Spirit can do His wondrous work within us if we make Him more important than us. So let us call, cry, and plead for help. Let us run each day to Him. Let us go now! Let us go a thousand times, then a thousand more! God will take us into His outstretched arms for sure!
