There is one thing we Christians still get wrong every time. We come to faith in God and His Son, Jesus Christ. Then we heave a sigh of relief. We know that Heaven finally opened its doors to us. And this is where we get screwed up. We stop seeking.
There are degrees for each of us to how far we will take our newfound faith. Those who expect more will go farther. Those who are content with little will get it. They will have less of a walk with the Divine. Teachers can have some influence here, but they will not hold all the blame when we stand to give account.
The ones who eat will be the ones who taste. The satisfied have tried. The Bible tells us who they are. They are the humble ones. They are the hungry ones. The ones who will praise Him are the ones who will do it forever. Let us change. Let us become the ones who resist the urge to relax. Throw contentment far from us. Set ourselves after Him! He is before us. Let us get up. Let us go to Him!
The humble shall eat and be satisfied. They shall praise Yahweh who seek after him. Let your hearts live forever. Psalm 22:26 (WEB)
