A Pure Heart

3. Who may ascend to Yahweh’s hill? Who may stand in his holy place? 4. He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully. Psalm 24:3-4

When we stop asking ourselves this question, our answer will not be positive. We lose our chance when we stop asking if we will meet the Holy One. It would be easy for us to trust a choice we made once long ago. It would be nice to heave a sigh of relief and let down our guard. But for the traveler who would set themselves on course for the foot of the throne, we cannot rest yet. We cannot afford to let our sights drop.

Press on. Seek on. Drive these souls of ours. We will see glory. We will gain access to the immediate presence of God. But we will only ever make it there if these hearts become pure, purely His.

Take these hearts, dear Lord, 100% tuned unto You, we pray!
