For Glory To Come In

Lift up your heads, you gates! Be lifted up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory will come in. Psalm 24:7

There is one thing we should get crystal clear if we want to continue to call ourselves the remnant of Christ. That is if we truly want God to come into our hearts. Everyone who claims to believe in Christ would love to say, “Of course!” But the whole matter deserves more attention.

Not everyone is willing to tear their gaze away from their goals in life. Not everyone who calls themselves Christian is willing to suffer insult and hate. Not everyone who came looking for rewards is willing to lose all that our world offers us. Not everyone will leave comfort behind and seek our Savior in the lonely stretches.

The King of Glory will come in if the gate opens wide enough. But the gates we talk about are real ones. They keep our relationship with Him separate or open to bring us together.

Let nothing inside of us keep the Holy Spirit from coming closer today!
