Have you ever had one of those moments? It can happen during a gathering at church. It can occur in a peaceful garden. Or you are at the top of a mountain peak when suddenly it feels like you are in God´s house. The music could be pulling strings within your heart. The birds might be singing up a glorious melody of praise. Whatever the case, the glory of God somehow seems to be there.
The Psalmists knew the sensation well. It comes across in their words. Adoration pours from their songs. When worshippers find themselves where the Lord is near, our hearts run over. Awe overcomes us. We cannot explain or reason the gratitude and love that bubbles up from within. It pours out.
If we haven´t experienced it, we should. If we have never been there, we should search for it. If we have, we will want to praise. Let us esteem for nothing less. Let us become the kind of worshippers who know what it´s like where the glory of God dwells.
Yahweh, I love the habitation of your house, the place where your glory dwells. Psalm 26:8 (WEB)
