One of the best kinds of friends to have is the kind who is of good standing. Imagine that our best friend was a king. Life might not always be easy for us, but it would probably still be a pretty cool place.
Well, we can be best friends with the King. It is entirely within reach. If we place any store in what the Bible says, we already belong to a pretty privileged group of people. Within the universe of possibilities, the stars have all lined up for us. God has His eye on us.
We can invest our time and interest in developing our relationship with God. Those who do are special. We who put our hope in the loving-kindness of our Lord tie ourselves to Him. With every step we take in building our relationship with our Savior, we better our standing. Our souls fall into good hands!
So, open the window in the morning and take a look outside. Gaze at the world we must step out into. No matter what it looks like, we can face it with the King of Kings. Let our hopes cling to our Lord. And everything we must go through in our day will only bring us closer to Him. Step in close to Christ and seize the opportunity today brings!
