The whole family was Catholic. The country where they lived was considered Catholic. When anyone spoke of church, they meant the Catholic Church. Their weddings, baptisms, and communions were all rituals and celebrations that were customary to the Catholic Church in that part of the world. But when one of the daughters of this particular family decided to marry a man from a foreign country, there was a problem. He had not grown up in the system. Her marriage and the customary rituals and ceremonies would not be available to her there unless he too was Catholic. As the seals of the scroll in Heaven are being opened, what can they mean for us?

The first rider on the horse goes out to conquer. When we contemplate the Holy Scriptures it seems that we are approaching the final days and so the prophecies appear to be coming true. Each religion and every individual may see these things under the light of how they were taught. The Catholic Church has had great times of power and has marked history with its influence. But we cannot point a finger at them or any other church or government. In every part of the world, the rights and choices of the people have been conquered and channeled by others. This may mean religious, political, or financial leaders who rule over us all. God knows the meaning. We must look to the Spirit for instruction. We cannot fight against it. But, if we can see the prophecies coming true, we can turn more to our Savior and lean more upon Him!

Dear Lord,

In our world today, many are jostling for the right to rule over us. Let us see it and prepare our hearts for You, we pray!
