Tremble

If we turn to the news today, we are sure to find something to alarm us. If it is not a contagious virus, it is political issues, economic threats, it is a natural disaster. The experts say that our ecosystem is compromised. Prophecy also warns us to consider where we are heading. In any case, the person who refuses to read the signs of our times is seen as selfish, inconsiderate, irresponsible, or downright ignorant. All of the issues we face do affect the human race. We might be lucky enough to die before things get too bad, but it takes a pretty cold heart to not care for those we will leave behind. We could all learn to be a little more sensitive to the state of our world and we could help others who are not as fortunate as us. But the most important issue we could devote ourselves to would be where we stand with the Lord. There are still some who care enough to establish a growing relationship with the only Figure who knows and can control the fate of our race. These precious few may tremble at every injustice and every looming tragedy. But as we recognize the poor state of our world, we can exchange our fears for hope. We can start looking forward to the day we meet our loving Father who we are coming to know a little more each day!
